A Note from the Dean

A good time was had by all in attendance at the Pedals, Pipes and Pizza held at the Irvington Presbyterian Church on October 23. Two dozen children, along with family members, and even a few young at heart gathered to hear, learn about and experience firsthand the pipe organ. Highlights were sitting at the console and playing, as well as  a pipe blowing contest. Four brave youth were able to make an 8' C pipe sound! Future choir members... In fact, when the pizza arrived, no one seemed to be interested as there were more important matters at hand. Our thanks to the Irvington Presbyterian Church, John Riss, Craig Degener and Frank Miller for making this event possible. Below are a few good pictures.

Don't forget our Member's Recital coming up on November 13. There is still time to arrange to play on the stunning new Ingram-Hele-Willis Organ at the Huguenot Presbyterian Church. Send me an email soon...

Reads and Mixtures

The Postlude

I go from page to page and book to book,
Sometimes, it's for days that I look.
All that time is well spent in the search,
It's for God's service in my church.
I practice every note 'till I get it right,
Sometimes I work until late at night.
After the Benediction the sounds pour forth,
I'm now playing for all I'm worth.
Then my eyes glance away from the score,
I'm amazed at what I see on the floor.
While I was playing and being quite deft,

All the people got up and left!
