Citibank

Extremely engaging & well-received workshop on ‘How Design Thinking Leads to Innovation’ for a select group of 21 senior executives (average 20+ years of experience) from 8 different countries. The workshop focused on how the operations of a bank need to change in order to tackle the coming decade. A lot existing norms got questioned leading to new approaches to setting up operations.

Daimler

We conducted an ‘Innovation Hackathon’ for the entire Marketing & Sales team, to generate viable ideas for promoting the Bharat Benz brand among fleet owners in India. A lot of exciting ideas were generated and pitched to the senior management. We measure the success of the hackathon on the fact that three of ideas generated were accepted for immediate implementation by the steering committee comprising CXOs.

'Think Design' - Workshop
Kaustubh Dhargalkar (KD) conducted ‘Think Design’, an open workshop for students at ‘MarQuest’, the Marketing Communications expo, conducted by K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies  Research on March 3, 2017. Around 50 students gave a resounding thumbs up for the inputs received on Design Thinking and its applications. Multiple scenarios were discussed where design thinking could redefine current solutions.

ENSPIRE '17 - Keynote Address

KD delivered a keynote address on March 11, 2017, at ENSPIRE '17 - a conclave of 200+ students and wannabe entrepreneurs at DMCE, Navi Mumbai. He shared his thoughts about ‘How Emerging Technologies are going to shape the Future’.
The talk focused on:

  • How some new sectors will emerge and how some established ones may fade away
  • Why companies should change their conventional business models to suit the emerging connected world.
  • How & why young students should look for opportunities in these spaces rather than waste time on some dumbed down & cliched e-commerce models.
KD believes that engineering students should exploit their own expertise in technology to pursue some core issues that our country faces such as primary healthcare & education. Solutions have to be created with scale, not for a million but for the next billion!!!
