Evidence-Based Literacy Instruction

How to bring reading success to all students
Thursday, March 18, 2021;  7:00 - 8:15 pm via Zoom

In any given classroom, at least 20% of students will struggle to learn to read. Identifying why they’re struggling and knowing how to help is no easy task, especially when trying to effectively support all students in the classroom.

Join us to learn what “evidence-based” literacy instruction means and why it’s critical for all students - not just those with learning differences. The presentation will focus on practical topics including:

  • What reading programs are effective in which situations?
  • What knowledge and skills are needed to teach anyone to read?
  • What can I do now with my students?

Walk away with easy strategies you can immediately use with individuals, small groups, and whole classes.

Educators from The Neuhaus Education Center, a US-based nonprofit dedicated to reading success and evidence-based professional development for educators, will share the latest research in the area of literacy.

This talk is designed for educators, but is suitable for all who are looking to gain a better understanding of how reading success can be achieved.
