Over the summer, library staff worked diligently to implement a new library system, much of which is behind the scenes except for the new catalog interface. From the library homepage (http://library.raritanval.edu), the Books & Media tab will take you to a cleaner, more user-friendly catalog search. We are still in the process of ensuring that our records are accurate and up-to-date, so don’t hesitate to contact us if you can’t find a title that you think we should have or are having any difficulty using the system. We will have a full launch “party” for the new catalog and enhancements to our website that are coming in October.

You can have an embedded librarian in your online class! The embedded librarian is specifically for online (or hybrid) courses. Many of the students enrolled in online classes are limited by geography and time and rarely find themselves on campus. In order to benefit from library services, the embedded librarian program was created in order to reach these students and provide an equivalent level of information literacy instruction as their on campus counterparts.
