Launch of the new IWG website

Dear <<First Name>>,

I am delighted to inform you that the new IWG website is now online. Still located at, the site has a brand new 'look and feel' and provides information on the IWG, details on the forthcoming IWG meeting as well as an archive of previous meetings. Each IWG meeting now has its own page and includes documents, photographs and video related to the meeting. You will also find all the documentation required to submit membership applications, access an online member directory and a new In Memoriam section which provides a place to recognise deceased members. A great benefit of the new site, particularly for the Treasurer, is the capability to receive online payments of dues and donations. The site is also scalable so that whether you are looking at the site on your computer, tablet or phone it will resize and still look fantastic.

Membership Dues

Following changes made to the by-laws at our 2015 general meeting in Taipei, the IWG now has three types of membership. These are:

Full Member
A Full Member consist of those who have been nominated for membership, have met the membership criteria, and have been elected to membership by the Board of Directors. A Full Member pays annual dues of US$100 per year.

Retired Member
Members who have ceased full-time or part-time employment are eligible to become retired members, entitled to all privileges and benefits of full membership. A retired member pays dues of US$50 per year.

Life Member
Members who have received the Herman Feifel Award shall be eligible to become life members, entitled to all privileges and benefits of full membership and exempt from paying dues.

Given that the IWG Secretariat moves around the world, if the Secretariat is based outside of the US, dues are converted into the local currency of the Secretariat. The Board deferred the invoicing of 1995 dues as a result of the transition to an online payment system. It has subsequently been decided to charge 50% of the 2015 and 100% of the 2016 period. The current payment for the 2015 and 2016 dues will therefore be US$150 for Members and US$75 for Retired Members. The 2017 dues will be levied in March next year.

You will notice that when you log into the site the correct fee, determined by your type of membership, will be automatically calculated for you. This will be charged in Australian dollars and will be AU$196 for Full Members and AU$98 for Retired Members. Payments can be made securely online using a VISA, MasterCard or American Express credit card.
