Dear Parents and Students,

February is already here! Students are getting excited with the preparation of our annual June performance.  Costume Deposit Program (CDP) for your June recital costume has started and the 2nd payment is Due February 18th.  If have not filled out your costume form, please do so asap. Costume will not be order if form is not filled out and signed for all Pre-Dance, Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 *Please make costume checks payable to “Dance Factory” (*NO CREDIT CARDS or CASH accepted for costume balances – Checks or Venmo Only). 
Payments will be due Jan 28th, Feb 18th, & Mar 11th. All Costume not paid in full by March 11, 2022, will not be order for the upcoming events.

*Note on Attendance:  Due to the pandemic, we are not going to be giving out perfect attendance awards again this year since we are encouraging absences when dancers are not feeling well or have been identified as close contacts with people testing positive for Covid or if they test positive for Covid themselves.  We know this may be disappointing for some dancers, but we may get back to that award next year after we do not have to have as many restrictions with attendance.  Thank you for your understanding.

Starbound Competition Fee are due February 4th for all Adult Tap and any Solo that wish to compete at Starbound March 18th - 20th

Spring Break Studio will be closed for spring break March 14th - 20th

Recital Fee is Due April 1st. All participating families will have a recital fee due of $100. Recital fee includes program book, Class Photo, recital t-shirt, trophy and a DVD of the full performance.

PICTURE DAY will take place on May16th - 20th - Specific scheduled times for each class will be given at later time.

TICKET DAY is scheduled for Friday, May 27th 4:00PM   and tickets will be sold on a first come first serve basis.

IN-HOUSE Rehearsals will take place on Thursday, June 16th for Act I & Act II from 4:30 - 7:00 pm
The numbers performing in each act will be given at a later time. Not all dancers will stay for the duration of the dress rehearsal.  Call times will be given closer to the performance date.

DRESS REHEARSAL will take place on Friday, June 17th from 4:30-7:00 pm at the Coliseum Center Performing Arts in Daytona, Fl. Not all dancers will stay for the duration of the dress rehearsal.  Call times will be given closer to the performance date.  *Attendance at Dress Rehearsal is MANDATORY in order to perform in the recital.

ANNUAL PERFORMANCE will take place on Saturday, June 18th.   Tentative time is 7:00 pm.

To ensure that there are no discrepancies in color and style, students are required to have the same tights for their classes. Tights are available from dancewear stores. Be sure to purchase the correct style. Please purchase new tights for the recital, and do not wear or wash them before the dress rehearsal or performance. (Note: Having a second pair of tights on hand offers students and parents a great sense of security.) Tight brands that are exceptive Capezio & Bodywrapper only.
Please place an order before the 1st of May to ensure that your tights come in on time!

Hair and Makeup
All female students Leve1 and Up
are required to wear makeup for the recital: lipstick, blush, eye shadow, and mascara. For the boys, a little blush works well so they are not washed out under the stage lights.

 Uniform hairstyles are required Pre-Dance, Level 1,2,3 & 4. All female dancer and pre dance students must wear their hair in a ballet bun or French braid bun. No bangs or beads are allowed unless instructed by teacher. Dancers with short hair must pull their hair away from the face.

Registration Fee & Form
 All dancers attending the Dance Factory of New Smyrna Beach, Inc. (DFNSB) for the 2021 - 2022 dance season beginning Monday, July 5th, 2021 - Friday June 25th, 2022, will be required to fill out a yearly Registration Form & pay your family's yearly registration fee. (Found online or at the studio) We must have a complete registration form on file for dancers to attend regular scheduled classes. Registration is Due at the beginning of each year along with your payment of $35.00 per family. Class spots will not be held without full registration and payment.

Tuition is due the first class of each month. "Tuition Drop Box" All payment should be dropped into the tuition drop box located inside the lobby next to the Dancers Locker Room. Dance factory also accepts Cash, checks, & Venmo. @Dancefactorynsb

Tuition is due on or by the 10th of the month.
Tuition is non-refundable. The Dance Factory runs on a calendar month, which means that the tuition remains the same whether there are 3, 4, or 5 classes in a month. The Dance Factory does not prorate for missed classes, but you are always welcome to make-up in another class. Please Contact Miss Megan within 5 days of the absence.

The Studio Lobby
 Our lobby is open. Please maintain a safe distance from other dancers and parents in the lobby. As we do not have a huge lobby (one family member per dancer). Please do NOT enter the Dancers Locker Room while in the Dance Factory's lobby. This is for the dancers. Thank you for your cooperation.
