Dear friends and colleagues,

It is with great pleasure that I write as your new EVTA President wishing you all a happy and successful year, singing and teaching. I hope you like our new newsletter format, we are using 'mailchimp' for the first time and we would appreciate any feedback. Martin Vàcha is also going to be sending his updates using this new format. If you find this has been sent to your spam folder by mistake, please let us know.

New board

We have just had our first board meeting in Haarlem, hosted by our Dutch members Christa Bornhijm and Ineke van Doorn and that also gave us the chance to hear about the ongoing plans for EUROVOX in The Hague August 30th- 1st September 2018. The theme is Vocal Fusion with an emphasis on what we do when we sing ‘together’;  the many ways we experience working/singing with others through music.

Events

Congress of Voice Teachers (ICVT) and

Young Professional Programme (YPP)

The board was brought up to date with the latest news from the International Congress of Voice Teachers (ICVT) in Stockholm 2-6th August 2017. EVTA will again be providing the singers through our YPP, Young Professional Programme. We had a good number of great candidates applying and we chose 14 in total, 10 classical and 4 pop and jazz performers.  For this events there is an early bird offer and a group discount available.

Pan-European Voice Congress (PeVoC)

The Pan-European Voice Congress, (PeVoC) in Ghent 31st August-1st September 2017, will be another opportunity to share our knowledge with voice scientists, therapists and the medical profession.

Students and/or members of the affiliated societies (CoMet,EVTA,ELS,IAP,UEP,WVC,EAV) have the advantage of a 10% reduced registration fee. There is also an early bird offer. You will find all information at
