The financial services industry is continually evolving, especially when it comes to regulatory and compliance changes. As most businesses adjust to a new, largely remote, way of working, the importance of RegTech is more evident than ever today – both in terms of continuing to tackle financial crime and implementing efficient processes.
In May 2019, Singapore FinTech Association (SFA) launched the RegTech sub-committee to promote the invention and adoption of technologies to overcome regulatory challenges in Singapore, while also enhancing cross-border collaboration on RegTech education and implementation across the region.
On 17 September 2020, the RegTech sub-committee is pleased to organize a webinar to launch the RegTech Ecosystem Map 2020, and also a panel session where you’ll get to discover various insights from key stakeholders in the RegTech ecosystem.
Expect to find out more about:
1. The challenges financial institutions face when dealing with RegTech/FinTech providers.
2. What regulators could do to promote a safe ecosystem for consumers and investors.
3. The cost of compliance, as regulatory requirements on cybersecurity, technology risk management and data privacy become increasingly onerous.
4. The challenges and opportunities for FinTech/RegTech providers under increased regulatory requirements.
