Please consider the possibility of serving as a mentor to a UCF student or recent graduate in the STC Florida chapter’s 2022-2023 mentoring program. We welcome mentors from beyond Florida, and you do not have to be a current STC member.
How to Be a Mentor
If you have not mentored before but are interested in giving your time and experience to help a student enter our profession, we want you and we need you! Please join me this Thursday, November 3, at 7:00pm ET for my presentation on How to Be a Mentor.
I will be sharing my experience mentoring, the value to professionals and students, and answering any questions you may have. If you have been on the fence about stepping up to be a mentor, I encourage you to join this meeting! To learn more about our student mentoring program, you can also visit our mentoring page on the chapter website.
If you have already decided to serve as a mentor this year, please submit the mentor application form. It is simple and straightforward and requires just a few minutes of your time. If you would like to step up, please complete the form by November 7.
Having been on both sides, I can attest that mentoring offers meaningful benefits to both mentor and the mentee in terms of both professional growth and personal satisfaction.
