In acknowledgement of project completion, a ribbon cutting event was hosted by the Connecticut Airport Authority June 30, 2022. Speakers included Gov. Ned Lamont (D-CT), Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT), and Rep. John Larson (CT-01) along with Bradley International Airport Executive Director Kevin Dillon, Connecticut Airport Authority Board Chair Thomas A. Sheridan, as well as Scott Pflueger and Stephen Blum with Hertz, who spoke on behalf of the rent-a-car industry. Anne Morrison with Avis and Alisha Tillman with Enterprise also represented rent-a-car industry tenants. Here is a link to view the event's press release and project's construction time lapse.
TRANSITION TO OPERATIONS
All special systems including car washes, windshield washer systems, and fueling are complete and operational. Roadway signage and Airport terminal signage was revealed for the facility’s official operational opening to the public Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at 10:00 pm by Austin Commercial and KBE Building Corporation.
Rent-a-car tenants have completed transition into the facility and started directing customers into the ConRAC for opening day July 13, 2022.
CS Project Delivery’s Operational Readiness and Airport Transition team and other key employees were onsite the week of July 11 to provide assistance during the overnight transition into the new ConRAC facility.

Stringent job site precautions have been implemented, including OSHA and CDC guidelines, combined with applicable governmental regulations and recommendations to provide preventative guidance for all workers, regardless of exposure risk. Regular housekeeping practices have been instituted, including cleaning and disinfecting frequently used tools and equipment along with rigorous social distancing requirements observed.
It is also expected all workers take their temperature prior to coming on to the job site. Similarly, workers who come into close contact with someone showing symptoms are directed to immediately contact their supervisor and healthcare provider. All workers are expected to report to their managers or supervisors if they experience signs or symptoms of COVID-19.
