April Race Update!

Welcome to April and its not long now till the Widespan Sheds Autumn Classic Race Meet to be held on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd April. The Street Car Category will be running on the Sunday so make sure you get your entries in now!! The online system is the best way at https://www.cams.com.au/

We will be putting together live feeds from the track and doing right ups from the weekend so make sure any images or videos you collect have the hashtag #SCRAWA so we can find them!

The CEC have met and agreed to keep the WAGT name for 2017 with combined grids with the Sports Sedans and Sports Cars Categories. Street Cars will however, have their own points and trophies and opportunities to promote sponsors at meets. This is a positive outcome for all parties and a big thanks to Peter Bowra from The WA Sporting Car Club for his assistance in rectifying this issue.

We also now have an Instagram account. Make sure if you are on Instagram you use the hashtag #SCRAWA, so we can find and re-post your images. Look us up street_car_wa. Also keep up to date with all the goings on at the Facebook Page. All the links are listed below.

2017 Championship Sponsor

Sticker Placement

We now have all our sponsor partner stickers printed and if you are missing any please let Paul Kluck know. There will be spares at teh next race meet.

Please ensure that minor sponsor stickers are placed from the back of the front door to the front of the car. If there is no room for them to fit there then the front bumper area is acceptable.

RAC Facades major sticker should be as close to the racing number on your door as possible on both sides of the car.

Window banners are to be displayed at all times.

A-Frames for Race Garages

We have secured an awesome deal with Word Of Mouth Signs to produce
A-frame signs at a special member price. These signs will be the metal
A-frame with a replaceable corflute sign of your cars specifications and driver information. 

These will be at a member cost of $55.00 which has been subsidised by the association as well.

We would like to endeavour to keep these signs universal to the category with our logos etc on them, so if you are interested in ordering please contact your category Representative Craig to organise the graphic design for the order.

We encourage all members to have one of these signs in order to promote our cars at the garages and draw attention to the builds, whilst further promoting the category.
 

Hankook Control Tyres

The Hankook Control Tyre is still being tested as we commence the 2017 season. From initial reports its looking great with an example of wear after shakedown, quali and 3 races sent to us. We also saw some personal bests and fast times put down at the March Night-masters on  these tyres.

Please continue to provide us with feedback on how your tyres are wearing through heat cycles. Stuart from Perth Motorsport Tyres will be at the track for the Sunday meet for all your tyre requirements.



A HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT!

Street Car Racing Association of WA, in association with Perth Motorsport Tyres, have secured a tyre sponsorship with Hankook Competition Tyres.

The Z221 R-comp tyre will now be our control tyre for 2017! Not only this but for racing financial members of SCRAWA, we have enabled a massive discount off the price as well! This is massive news and will save our racers huge amounts of money throughout the year.
