On June 20-21, the Swedish government and Business Sweden are organizing a big investment conference called “Join Sweden Summit”.

The focus is on business and investments for climate transition and digital transformation.

The exclusive programme will bring together global decision makers from across the political, business, and industry divide. A number of companies from key markets on various continents will participate physically in Stockholm, but it is also possible to attend the conference online.

EXPORT MANAGERS CERTIFICATE COURSE

Within the initiative of the State Agency Enterprise Georgia and the Global Compact Network Georgia, an EXPORT MANAGERS CERTIFICATE COURSE was launched at Caucasus University. Representatives of Georgian exporting companies will be given the opportunity to improve their knowledge, develop competence and establish relevant connections with foreign companies, as well as implement corporate sustainability standards, which will significantly foster their export activities.

The course is implemented with support of the Swedish Government.

In the framework of cooperation between the GCNG and the Secretariat of the Sustainable Development Council, a meeting was held on the Action Plan for the Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. The meeting was attended by Vakhtang Katamadze, Head of Policy Planning and Government Coordination Department, and Natia Tsikaradze, Head of the Strategic Planning and Coordination Department.

SDG TALKS

Global Compact Network Georgia presents the fourth episode of the series of podcasts "SDG Talks".

The fourth episode was dedicated to SDG 8 - Decent Work and Economic Growth. The guest of the episode is Dimitri Tsktishvili, Chairman of the Georgian Progressive Forum.

The podcast is prepared by the Global Compact Network Georgia, with the support of the Swedish Government, within the framework of the project - Leadership for Sustainable Development in Georgia.

On May 10, 2022, Global Compact Network Georgia signed a memorandum of cooperation with Enterprise Georgia.

The memorandum aims to foster the implementation of corporate sustainability standards in small and medium-sized companies. In addition, the memorandum promotes access to education in the field of corporate sustainability and encourages the development of key skills in this area for representatives of the business sector.

On May 25, the Global Compact Network Georgia held a workshop within the framework of the Business Equality Action Platform.

The meeting was about the implementation of partnership projects between businesses and civil society organizations to achieve equality in business. Topics related to gender equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace were discussed.

Workshop was organized within the framework of the USAID / EWMI Civil Society Engagement Program.


Within the framework of Climate Ambition Accelerator we held the first introductory meeting with the participant companies. We introduced the structure of the program and the training platform of Climate Ambition Accelerator.
