This morning President Smatresk sent you a message explaining how we are moving forward and where to find the information about changes in how each course will be delivered. In addition, G. Brint Ryan College of Business courses are also listed at https://cob.unt.edu/news/2020-03-13/coronavirus-updates.
For classes that were fully online before spring break, instruction continues on the original schedule as planned. If the online class had scheduled face-to-face activities, your instructor will make you aware of any modifications. For blended learning or face-to-face classes, the missed week will be made up over the rest of the semester. In many cases, your faculty will be using Canvas and/or Zoom to provide you as rich a learning experience as possible. You can learn more about each of these tools at https://online.unt.edu/learn.
For specific changes to individual courses, each of your faculty members will be contacting you by Friday, March 20, to let you know what is going to happen with your class between now and the end of the semester. If you have particular concerns or questions about a class, please reach out to your instructor through email or the Canvas portal. We will continue to post RCOB continuity information here.
I know that you are likely to have many questions. Your instructor is the first line of communication, and is ready to support you. Tutor labs and supplemental instructors will move online, and your instructor will have specific information on how to access those services. The RCOB undergraduate advising office is available and eager to assist you with your registration questions. We are transitioning to virtual advising and encourage students to continue to schedule advising appointments by visiting https://appointments.unt.edu/ramonline. For additional questions and advisor assistance, call 940-565-2110 or email email@example.com. Graduate students can email firstname.lastname@example.org, or call (940) 369-8977.
I will be holding a Facebook chat on Friday, March 20, from 10 to 11 where you can ask questions, and will schedule additional opportunities going forward. Find @UNTRyanBusiness on Facebook or click on the Facebook icon at the bottom of any RCOB web page to join.
We are committed to the health and safety of everyone in our community. Remember that you are and will always be part of our Mean Green family.
