Our CAT of the MONTH is  SOPHIE
Sophie is a three year old brown tabby who wants nothing more than to cuddle up on your lap. Sophie LOVES to sleep on your pillow. If she's not on your pillow, she can be found sleeping by your feet. You don't mind sharing your bed, do you?

Sophie is very playful and loves to play with pipe cleaners and balls. The laser light is an all time favourite as well. Got kids? Perfect - Sophie loves kids! Sophie would prefer to be your one and only lap cat.
For full details about our Kitten Jamboree, read the article on our website.

The Microchip & Rabies Clinic is open to both dogs and cats.

All adoption centres will have kittens for summer months. Visit the location to see who is available as kittens come and go quickly.

While you are there, please meet our adult cats too as many are still young and kittens at heart. And maybe an older cat best suits your lifestyle? Remember that cats often live into their late teens and some even older.

Ten Reasons Senior Cats Rule

We remind potential adopters that Ninth Life Cat Rescue insists that kittens be adopted in pairs, or to a home with a resident cat or dog for company. We also want cats and kittens to remain indoor pets, for their own safety.

The Two Kitten Rule
Bree is settling nicely in her foster home. She no longer has her gauze muzzle, but still has her jaw wired. The wire is expected to be removed in a month. She is healing well, but slowly. Bree still can’t eat kibble and is quite picky about her wet food. She is very thin and really needs to gain weight. Bree is eating kitten food for the extra calories.

Free Korean Dogs
Despite the fact we are a cat rescue, we are often asked about dog adoptions. PetSmart Etobicoke features Free Korean Dogs in their stores occasionally.

Free Korean Dogs is a not for profit registered Canadian charity (BN:80580 0166RR0001) founded in Toronto on July 1st in 2015.

They rescue dogs from Korea’s dog meat trade and find their forever loving homes in Canada.Their international rescue and adoption program saves over hundreds of dogs each year from the Korean dog meat trade and finds their homes in Canada. Since 2015, they have shut down two dog meat farm operations, rescued over two hundreds dogs from the dog meat trade, and found forever homes for over seven hundreds dogs rescued from euthanasia or the risk of being forced into the meat trade.

The need for foster parents never ends. There is always a lineup of cats who need somewhere safe, even if only overnight or for a few days while we work out another plan for them, or they can head to an adoption centre.
