Winter maybe in full swing but it is only 3 months before the summer 2019/20 surf lifesaving season is upon us and that’s when the fun of surf lifesaving begins once again.

2019/20 Membership Sign on will begin this coming September with a full open day of registrations being held at the club on Sunday, 22 September.  Please check back closer to the date for more details!
NEW members are always welcome and to our renewing members… we can’t wait to see you back on the beach!

AGM Round UP
Over 30 members of the Club were present for the Annual General Meeting held on Friday Night and with over 20 apologies and proxy votes, we were well ahead of the quorum required for the meeting.
A very big thank you to all members who attended the AGM and those who sent their apologies, and a special vote of thanks to our Office Manager’s Mel Kuhn, Kelly Mitchell and Paula Anderson for their thoroughness and organisational skill in the process and conduct of the AGM.
For the first time in three seasons our club has a fully operational BOM with all Directors positions filled.  This is great news for our club, our operational duties and our strategic planning.

Thank you to out-going Board member, Director of Lifesaving Richard Banks, for his valued contribution to our club and the surf lifesaving organisation over the he past three seasons.  His passion and enthusiasm was a great contributor to the clubs lifesaving services and its operational procedures, and I thank him again for his commitment.

Elected at the AGM to lead our club’s Lifesaving Operations was Life Member Gary Carthew.  Gary’s experience as a past Director in both the Education and Training portfolio and Lifesaving, will provide further skills and knowledge to compliment the vision of the Club and the desire to contribute to the ongoing success of our club well into the future.

We also welcome member Deb Saffy as the Director of Marketing and Sponsorship.  Deb, husband Steve and their children U17 Georgia, U14 Alex and U9 Thomas have been passionate members of our club since 2013.  As a committed active patrolling and surf sports family, Deb’s understanding, passion and belief in this club and its family values will enrich our club’s management and administration.
Congratulations and thank you to the
