Volunteering & Mandated Reporter:

All Liberty Tech volunteers are expected to conduct themselves according to our cardinal virtues. As such, there are three elements to the volunteer training that need to be completed:

1. Read through the volunteer handbook and sign the final page acknowledging that you have read and understand all the volunteer policies at the beginning of each school year.  The handbook can be found at

2. Complete the state approved mandated reporter training at the beginning of each school year.  The training can be found at the following link:

  • Once on the site you will be asked to create an account.  Then you will search for the following course:  Mandated Reporters: Critical Links in Protecting Children in Georgia or just the words "Mandated Reporter".   The course will take some time to complete and will include questions based on the training.  At the end of the course you will receive a certificate of completion to submit to the school.

3. Make sure that you have had a background check done by your local sheriff's department.  NOTE: this must be completed every 2 years.

Once all three are complete, you may send the signed final page of the volunteer handbook, the certificate of completion of the mandated reporter course, and the background check to our business manager, Amy Jones, at  Please see the Volunteer Quick Tips document for future reference of this process.

FRAM Information:

Please find FRAM (Free Reduced Application Management) information below.  If you qualify for FRAM, please see the information below.  Your child(ren) will be charged full lunch costs until the FRAM application is received and your child(ren) qualifies.
