MEP Hilde Vautmans, (Chair of the MEP Group for Kidney Health, Renew Europe) and the European Kidney Health Alliance (EKHA) are pleased to invite you to the 2020 EKHA Forum: “A Shared Vision for Improving Organ Donation and Transplantation Beyond 2020” which will take place on Tuesday 3 March 2020 at the European Parliament in Brussels.

This year’s Forum builds on the success of the EKHA-led 2019 Joint Statement on Improving Organ Donation and Transplantation as well as on the renewed political momentum around organ donation and transplantation, which was declared among the priorities of the Croatian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. This high-level policy meeting will be held under the sponsorship of the Croatian Presidency and will aim to inform the subsequent Ministerial meeting of the Presidency in Zagreb.
The event will explore current challenges and barriers in the field of organ donation and transplantation, including how to better inform patients, optimise the organisation of national programmes, ensure sustainable funding, tackle inequalities and increase the availability and quality of data. The meeting will gather EU and national policy-makers, National Competent Authorities for organ donation and transplantation, medical societies as well as patient and health organisations.

We hope you will be able to join us and look forward to welcoming you on the day!
The event will be followed by a networking reception.
