Developing generative spiritual leaders who influence their communities for Christ.

Here, Is Your God

On Sunday, Rev. Nathan Lee preached the simple yet transformational truth at the center of our faith "Here, is your God." I know this may sound like an Advent message, but just let that sink in for a moment. God is here. But he isn't just here; he is here sharing the fullness of our humanity, immersed in the beauty and the tragedy of all of creation. He is here sharing our vulnerability, our weakness, our despair, and our sorrow not in spite of who God is but precisely because of who God is. Through Jesus, we see with unmistakable clarity the love of a heart-broken God willing to sacrifice everything even divine privilege to forgive, reconcile, and restore lost sons and daughters far from home. "Here, is your God" is both a proclamation of God's presence and his character, but it is also the reason we can face with honesty and hope the darkness within and around us.
