This includes a simulated fire and smoke demonstration in The Hartford’s Fire Safety House, an opportunity to meet Houston firefighters and tour a fire truck.

WHY:The Houston Astros and George Springer are partnering with The Hartford to raise awareness about the importance of fire safety. According to The Hartford Home Fire Index, Houston ranks No. 45 among the 100 U.S. cities with the highest home fire risk. To help educate children in Houston about the importance of fire safety and prevention, The Hartford will bring its Junior Fire Marshal program to the city.

In addition, The Hartford will donate $20,000 to the Houston Independent School District and the Houston Fire Department for fire safety education, as part of the Junior Fire Marshal program, one of the country’s oldest corporate-sponsored public education programs.
