In this session you will learn about:
  • Definition of dysgraphia
  • How it affects those who have it
  • How to recognize it
  • How to advocate for your child or student
  • Strategies to reduce frustration and promote writing independence
This talk is suitable for both parents and teachers.

New for 2022 - Parent Support Returns!

We are excited to FINALLY be offering in-person support groups in the New Year!  FOCUS has been a forum for parent-to-parent support for nearly 30 years and we’re REALLY EXCITED to be restarting in-person support groups in the New Year.

These monthly gatherings will complement our educational programming, giving parents a forum to share experiences, discuss challenges and exchange tips.  Participation is open to FOCUS members and their guests.  We are looking forward to seeing you in January.

Volunteers Needed: Video Editing and Social Media Marketing

One positive of our new normal is that we have Zoom recordings and can build a content library!  To realize this project, we need a volunteer(s) who can confidently edit 1 or 2 hour+ long videos each month.

If you have a professional background with marcom/social media marketing, we could use your help to expand awareness through social media channels.  As a volunteer, you would edit post content, create images in Canva Pro, and manage schedule for 2 - 6 posts per month.

If you have the skills to help FOCUS expand our content PLEASE email TODAY!

FOCUS is a Hong Kong-based non-profit whose members include parents, educators, counsellors and medical professionals.  We are a volunteer-led organization whose “FOCUS” is to positively influence the quality of education and support available to students with ADHD and specific learning difficulties (SpLD), and to improve understanding of how these mainstream learning differences impact youth both emotionally and academically.
