DESIGN, PERMITTING AND CONSTRUCTION

CONSTRUCTION
Substantial Completion of the base buildings was achieved Feb. 21, 2022. Work is currently in progress to complete punch list items.

While general construction progress around the site continues, Tenant Improvements (TIs) are ongoing including, but not limited to installation of booths, offices, break rooms, locker rooms, wash rooms, conference rooms, painting, and signage. TI Completion is scheduled for April 14, 2022.

COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS
Austin Commercial and KBE Building Corporation recognize the impact and uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. As safety is a core value, they are committed to the health and well-being of employees, customers, subcontractors, and families.

Stringent job site precautions have been implemented, including OSHA and CDC guidelines, combined with applicable governmental regulations and recommendations to provide preventative guidance for all workers, regardless of exposure risk. Regular housekeeping practices have been instituted, including cleaning and disinfecting frequently used tools and equipment along with rigorous social distancing requirements observed.

It is also expected all workers take their temperature prior to coming on to the job site. Similarly, workers who come into close contact with someone showing symptoms are directed to immediately contact their supervisor and healthcare provider. All workers are expected to report to their managers or supervisors if they experience signs or symptoms of COVID-19.

ABOUT BDL CONRAC PROJECT
The ConRAC at Bradley International is an integral part of the airport’s master plan. This project locates all rent-a-car companies on airport, with pedestrian access from the terminal. It incorporates retail operations with vehicle support and storage and creates efficiencies by allowing rent-a-car brand families to share common systems and resources.

This $210M project began in Nov. 2014, after Conrac Solutions Project Delivery (CS Project Delivery) was retained by 100 percent of the rent-a-car companies (RACs) at BDL. After financing successfully closed in April 2019, CS Project Delivery received Notice to Proceed to construct a new ConRAC at BDL in Windsor Locks, Connecticut.
