Leah Vukmir Wins Wisconsin GOP Primary for U.S. Senate

Pewaukee, Wis. — Overcoming nearly $11 million in special-interest spending, nurse, mom-with-a-cause and conservative fighter Leah Vukmir won the Republican primary for U.S. Senate on Tuesday.

“Tonight confirms there’s no substitute for the grassroots – and I’m humbled to have their support,” Leah said. “Voters sent a clear message that we want to take our Wisconsin Way, our economic miracle, and our strong conservative victories to Washington and help President Trump make America great again. That’s exactly what I intend to do.

“Wisconsin needs a senator who represents and will work for the people who make our state great — not the far left or out-of-touch elites,” Leah added. “Sen. Tammy Baldwin has been a disaster our state. She’s put America last, supporting the dangerous Iran deal, standing with extremist socialists like Bernie Sanders who support government-run health
care, and failing our veterans at the Tomah VA.

“I am the fighter Wisconsin needs. I’m a middle-class nurse and mom-with-a-cause who is here because of circumstance, not ambition. I know we can bring our Wisconsin victories to Washington, and that’s the message I will take across the state this fall.”

During the campaign, Leah put more than 82,000 miles on her car driving from Superior to Kenosha and all 72 counties, many more than once, talking with voters about the issues. She also earned the Republican Party of Wisconsin’s endorsement by a historic margin, which helped her combat more than $10 million of special-interest spending against her.
Leah Vukmir is a nurse, military mom and now the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate who is running to bring the Wisconsin Way to Washington. She currently serves as a state senator from Brookfield.
