Shell Oil Company Makes a Major Contribution to HFD’s Operation Stocking Stuffer Toy Drive
WHAT:
Shell Oil Company is making a major contribution to the Annual HFD Operation Stocking Stuffer. For the second year, they will have a special “bike build” day to assemble the hundreds of bicycles to donate to this year’s toy drive. Shell employees will work alongside firefighters to build bikes for Houston families in need of help this Christmas. 
WHEN:
Tuesday December 4, 2018
  • 11 am – 1:00 pm: Shell employees and firefighters assemble bike for bike build.
     
  • 12:05 p.m. -  Safety Message and Welcome by representatives from Shell Oil Company, the Houston Fire Department and Houston Food Bank followed by photo ops.
WHERE:
  • Shell Woodcreek Facility, 150 N. Dairy Ashford (Bruce Culpepper, President Shell Oil Company and HFD Fire Chief Samuel Pena will give remarks at this location) *Visitors must check in with the Shell Security Reception on the ground floor of Building F.
     
  • Shell Technology Center, 3333 Highway 6. *Visitors should go to Building T. Assistant Chief Rodney West will attend. 
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
As part of their on-going partnership with the Houston Fire Department, Shell employees will be building hundreds of bicycles to donate valued at more than $100,000. In addition to this substantial donation, Shell has donated $15,000 to this years’ toy drive.  On December 13th and 14th volunteers from Shell will also be helping to sort the toys for the toy give-away on December 20th.  

Citizens and businesses may donate new, unwrapped toys for the toy give away now thru December 19th at their local Houston Fire Station.  Additional information on the toy drive and the giveaway may be found on www.houstonfire.org or on Facebook/OperationStockingStuffer
