With heavy rainfall expected beginning Friday evening, Media is invited to view the Houston Fire Department’s newest addition to its existing fleet of High Water Vehicles. This HWV has been assigned to HFD Station #84 located at 320 Gears Road. A HWV is a heavy duty tactical apparatus capable of operating in flood waters and is designed to transport citizens, supplies, or personnel. This addition is especially critical for the Greenspoint area which is prone to flooding.
