The C.A.S.E.Y Fire Ops Trailblazer Scholarship sponsored by Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen will be hosting a luncheon to honor the eight (8) scholarship recipients. Each recipient received a $1,800 scholarship that will go towards EMT and Fire School. Four (4) of the recipients will be attending Houston Community College and four (4) will be attending San Jacinto College.
The students that are recipients of this scholarship all participated in the C.A.S.E.Y Fire Ops mentorship program during the school year. They met monthly and participated in discussion about their career goals and actual hands training in various day to day activities that a Houston Firefighter would perform daily on the job.
C.A.S.E.Y Fire Ops is a partnership between the City of Houston Human Resources Depart., Fire Depart., Houston Independent School District and Pasadena Independent School District. The C.A.S.E.Y Fire Ops Trailblazer Scholarship is sponsored by Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen.
