Time for an update

The year has gotten away from me again, so here's an update.

As ever, my plans to do a monthly newsletter has somewhat fallen by the wayside as I'm busy working on lots of commissions and projects that are keeping me busy. The summer is flying by!

The Angel Oracle

The Angel Oracle project continues to be my main focus in my day to day work. I'm creating one angel a week in order to meet the publishing deadline. I'm really enjoying the process so far and finding that turnaround time to be just right for my way of working. I like to work under pressure, so it's perfect! I share sneak peeks of the project on Instagram and Facebook so be sure to keep an eye out for those!
You lucky newsletter subscribers are seeing the latest finished angel that I've yet to share anywhere else!

New Prints Online
I recently uploaded some of my equine themed artworks as prints onto my web shop. Some how I had not realised that they weren't online, so if you are a fan of mythical horses be sure to check them out! The image shown here is Pegasus and all prints come hand-embellished by me to evoke the sparkle of the original art.

Lord of the Rings Enamel Pin
I was delighted to be approached by Luminary Box (a sister company to Wick & Fable) to create a Lord of the Rings themed enamel pin. It is one of my favourite books (and movies) so naturally I leapt at the chance to create a sparkly and shiny enamel pin that evokes a grand adventure in Middle Earth.

In my last recap I shared this new piece in progress. Orison is now complete and more relevant than ever. It was created during my sister's pregnancy and my little niece has since been born. My niece has some significant health issues, so over the past month I've drawn strength from this piece, trusting that she is protected and guarded. A large metal print of this piece is now on display in the team room of CHOC ( a leading children's hospital in America) who are taking wonderful care of my sister and niece during this difficult time.
If you feel so inclined, please consider donating to my sister's upcoming sponsored walk - all proceeds of which will go to the hospital which has done so much for my niece and many other children.
New Blog Post
I recently shared some insights into my creative process on my blog. I share how I gather inspiration based off a loose sketch and create a piece of art that draws inspiration from a collection of disparate images. Take a read!
That's all for this month! More soon!
