In dialogues leading up to the Generation Equality Forum (GEF) in Mexico and Paris, adolescent girls demanded that there is a need for an advisory body to work with the UN Women to effectively integrate their needs, priorities and rights in GEF decision making spaces. UN Women commited to facilitate the formation of an Adolescent Girls Advisory Board (AGAB) which has yet to be fulfilled.
The Adolescent Girls Investment Plan and its members are sending this open letter to UN Women to follow up on the commitment made to adolescent girls.
