Wishing all our Africans and African decent readers happy Africa Day! Africa day falls on the 23 May every year and it's to celebrate unity across the 55 countries across the continent.
That's including Somaliland, our youngest nation.

A new look and name for our newsletter which we’re affectionately calling Gliwo (pronounced glee-wo). Gliwo means stories in the Ewe language, a local Ghanaian dialect. The name is a reflection of our style of communication -  sharing the stories of designers and artists we work with, or those simply worth knowing from across the Continent.

As part of the changes, our In Conversation series will continue to feature interviews with Africans designers but we’re also extending it to artists, trailblazers, style-makers and thought-leaders spearheading innovation, change and growth in the fashion + arts world on the Continent and in the Diaspora
