Reflections: Week of May 30, 2021

Each week we have different folks author our devotional thoughts for the week. We've had about 15 different people write them since we started this last fall. (I write the ones that no one signs up for...! so, if anyone is interested in finding out more about what's involved, let me know at ed@beavercreekchristian.org). These devotions are available through these weekly emails, from our website, and daily on our Facebook and Instagram pages.

I wanted to particularly call your attention to our devotional authors for this week. Three young women from our high school "scribe tribe," who enjoy writing, agreed to do it. Hannah, Kaitlyn, and Chloe stepped out of their comfort zone to craft and share their encouragements with you this week. It's so exciting to see how the Lord is working through these young women! I hope you are encouraged this week by what they chose to share.

This is our final week investigating LIMINAL SPACE. Take a moment this week and ask yourself: Do I struggle with trusting God when I'm having a hard time?

  1. Read it - This week please read Numbers 21 and John 3.  Write down whatever sticks out at you, nothing is too small.
  2. Listen/watch Ted's sermon on Sunday and prayerfully seek how you can practice the truth that we cover that week.
  3. Think through those moments when God may be speaking to you this week, about how hard it is to wait, and how you deal with the waiting. Then write them down and ask how he wants you to respond in faith.
