Today is the annual National Day of Prayer. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the signing of the National Day of Prayer into law by President Truman. Every year, on the first Thursday in May, people are asked to turn to God in prayer and meditation. We ask you to set aside some time today to pray for our country, its leaders, and how the Church can positively impact the nation.
The Greene County Prayer Coalition is inviting folks to an NDOP event, hosted by Kirkmont Presbyterian Church in Beavercreek, at 6:30 pm this evening.
In the Old Testament book of Numbers we see God's people being led by him through a space “between”—from slaves to the promised land. As we explore Israel's experience in this liminal space, we can discern some lessons for us as, we too, face those "in-between" spaces.
This Sunday, Ed will preach from Numbers 9 about the importance of staying connected to God as we go through liminality, and some possible ways we can do that. We hope to see you Sunday, or you can join us online at 11:00 am.
Next Sunday, May 16 at 5:30 pm, we will be holding a Sidewalk Chalk Art Show. We invite EVERYONE to pick a parking spot to decorate—individuals, families, home groups, kids! We'll supply the chalk. Bring your own food and lawn chairs. Then take a walk around to reconnect with friends and admire their masterpieces.
Remember the days when you were growing up and you played kick ball at recess? Well, on Sundays we are offering you an opportunity to dust off those kickball skills and get a little bit of exercise. Meet at the back of the church's property at 1:00 pm for a fun time and making some new friends on the Playground!

This event is NEXT FRIDAY! We are so excited that BCC is a host location for this year’s Work as Worship Retreat. Join thousands of Christian business professionals and church leaders across the country for a livestream event to hear how to connect faith and work.
This year’s speakers include David Steward, Jon Acuff, John Maxwell, Louie Giglio, Stephanie Chung, Dr. Henry Cloud, and Brandon Mann.
For several months now we have been offering daily reflections based on the week's sermon theme. Do you like to write? Do you have a gift for communicating God's wisdom in grace and truth? If you are interested in helping others grow through providing these devotional thoughts, contact Ed Green at firstname.lastname@example.org to find out what's involved.
The Church Has Left the Building!
For the next couple of months, we want to show some love to health care workers. We invite you to creatively show love to folks who work in healthcare of all kinds: nurses, doctors, counselors, social workers, etc. As you do so, we invite you to share with us stories of how God is at work.
As we are trying to stay connected as a church getting info out to you and helping you connect is vitally important, which is why we’ve built BaseCamp. To make that connection as easy as possible we are asking everyone to set up BaseCamp on your phone’s home screen. Follow the link below for short instructional video on how you can do that and stay connected with us.
