ORDER OF SERVICE
Worship Associate: Sharon Scholl
Welcome and Announcements
Sung Call to Worship
Let us be grateful for this day
For friends both near and far away
With love we gather here today
Though distant, we have found a way.
We light this chalice to remind ourselves of the light of truth, the
warmth of community, and the fire of our commitment.
Opening Hymn: O The Beauty in a Life
Wisdom for All Ages
Joys and Sorrows (use chat)
Sermon: Rev. Paul Johnson, “A Many-Splendored Thing”
Closing Hymn: When Our Heart is in a Holy Place
We extinguish this flame, but not the light of truth, the warmth of community, or the fire of commitment. These we shall carry in our hearts until we are together again.
Love is the doctrine of this church.
The quest for truth is its sacrament,
And service is its prayer.
To dwell together in peace,
To seek knowledge in freedom,
To serve humanity in fellowship,
To the end that all souls shall grow into harmony with the divine,
Thus do we covenant with one another
Virtual Coffee Hour
Immediately following the service, those who wish to remain will be able to participate in a virtual coffee/social hour. Depending on the number of people wish to participate, we will create small breakout rooms.
