New members

IAEH welcomed new members from four continents in January 2017.​

Malaysia is ranked as one if the best value destinations in the world. The country is increasingly being chosen as the first location in Asia for major arts, lifestyle, entertainment and sporting spectacles. Malaysia Major Events was established to identify, promote, facilitate as well as support viable international events to be staged in Malaysia. 
Other three organisations joined up during the first weeks of January. Event in Skåne, from Sweden, Richmond Sport Hosting, from Canada, and iGesporte, from Brazil, are now members.

The Bid Experience
A contribution from the Austrian Olympic Committee, German Olympic Sports Confederation, Swedish Olympic Committee and Swiss Olympic Association for the IOC's Olympic Agenda 2020. It focuses on unsuccessful bids to host Winter Games and on the main reason why these bids failed: lack of public support.
Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games
The final report on the Glasgow 2014 Olympic Games is free to download on our Resources Page. The document comprises details of the Games delivery including marketing strategy, operational planning, commercial partnerships and more. 

Upcoming activities

IAEH ANNUAL FORUM

Two IAEH meetings will happen in Aarhus, Denmark next April. Our members-only meeting will take place on Monday the 3rd from 3 to 6pm followed by a social dinner. This session is sponsored by our member Sport Event Denmark.
If you are not a member you are welcomed to attend our open meeting happening on Tuesday, 4th April, in the morning. The programme of this session, as well as the location, will be on our website soon.  For more information about the meetings or if you are interested in becoming a member send your request to admin@eventhosts.org
2017 World Master Games - Auckland New Zealand
DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATIONS EXTENDED
 
The deadline for registrations on the World Masters Game Observer's Progamme was extended. The Programme is designed to give participants a complete overview of the Games comprising all stages of the hosting process. People interested now have until the 3rd of March to register. More information on the WMG2017 website.
