Dear Friend,
Happy New Year! Plenty of environmental action has already kicked off the first month of 2017. Here's what I was up to in January at the Verdant Yank and beyond:

On The Verdant Yank

'Tomorrow' provides hope

In The News

RTE 2FM with Dave Fanning
This month, I met the legendary Dave Fanning for the first time and had a nice chat about all things climate related plus a dose of hope via Demain Le Film and Transition Towns on RTE 2FM. Listen on Soundcloud. (12min)
Galway's Flirt FM - #EPAFreeze
I discuss Trump's latest censorship of US EPA and USDA and implications to the environmental movement for Flirt FM's Newsfeed. Listen on MixCloud (7min).
RTE Six One News - 2016 Weather
We all love a good weather story in Ireland! Here's RTE's Science Correspondent, Will Goodbody, reporting on Met Eireann's 2016 weather data for RTE Six One News with a last climate word from yours truly. (2min)
Thanks so much for your readership and support of the Verdant Yank! Keep fighting the good fight!
