About This Walk
I am honoured and excited to be leading the 3rd KelbyOne Photowalk this year in Nelson. We have had so much fun in previous years and I’m pretty sure we will do the same this year. I have chosen the CBD this year as our main area, starting at The Red Art Gallery and Cafe – a sneaky coffee to get us going for the walk. We will include Bridge Street, the Saturday Market, Montgomery Square, Kirby Lane, Buxton Square, The Old Bank Reserve and Hardy Street. There will be plenty to Photography from market stalls, traders, buskers, wall art and the general hustle and bustle of Nelson CBD. The thing I can’t control is the weather so fingers crossed for a dry day, although saying that the first walk was very wet but we were able to capture some awesome shots and some great reflections and colours. So no matter where you are in your photography journey, or what type of camera or phone you use, you can take part in this year’s event! Also, remember importantly, we are walking with a purpose of helping support the Springs of Hope Orphanage in Kenya so we are hoping you will find it in your heart to donate when you sign up for your walk. 100% of your donation goes directly to the orphanage and makes a huge difference to the amazing youth at the Springs of Hope Orphanage.
The event is free, but pre-registration is required. Register at worldwidephotowalk.com, locate Nelson City, and complete the free sign up form.
