WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH THE COOP

HAPPY SPRING!
We feel a spring in our step as sales are picking up
and new energy is flowing.
The annual meeting on April 28 was attended by 16 members who enjoyed the music of Dog Tail Swing and then discussed the status of the Coop. Brian Jo was elected to the Board and he brings lots of ideas.  Several board members and other members are meeting to guide the development of the Coop for the next year.  Priority items are figuring out how to cool down the building, improving our outreach, marketing and connection to our members and the greater community.  If you want to help please contact anacortesfoodcoop@gmail.com
The Coop is governed by a Board of Directors who represent you. The Board meets on the first Monday of the month. There are open seats on the Board if you want to get involved.
Current Board Members: Miriam Fein, Brian Jo, Tom Petrich, Sara Holahan
JOB OPPORTUNITY
The Coop is hiring a part-time clerk with possibility of moving up into management.  Applications are available on the website, anacortesfoodcoop.com or at the store.
We are also looking for volunteers, especially who could help on Mondays with deliveries.
AT THE STORE

We will be getting Washington asparagus for about a month.  Enjoy!

We have brought back lamb.  This is from Superior Farms, a cooperative of ranchers who pride themselves on humane practices and sustainablity.  For some great recipes, check out their website:

New in the dairy cooler is Holy Cow Goat Milk.  It comes in regular, raw and chocolate quarts.  Many people find goat milk easier to digest than cow's milk.
