5 Reasons why Men should do Pilates

Balanced Body Pilates helps to correct poor posture, as well as strengthening the deep stabilizing muscles which are often weak as they’re not used in regular conventional exercise.

Improved Flexibility Pilates uses specific exercises and techniques to stretch muscles and increase range of motion in all joints.

Build Core Strength Every Pilates exercise focuses on using your deep abdominal muscles to power movement in your limbs. Pilates has a unique and targeted repertoire of exercises for working the abdominals, unmatched by any other method.

Better Posture Pilates promotes correct posture, keeping the bones and joints properly aligned uses your muscles more efficiently preventing strain and over use.  Good posture reduces wear and tear on joint surfaces, helps to prevent disc problems and reduces back pain.  Doctors and Physio’s recommend Pilates for rehabilitation, as the results can be astounding.

Better Sex!!! Ha! now we’ve got your attention!  Men who practice Pilates have greater control of this region of the body--need we say more! chaps while we’re talking about your wedding tackle did you know prostate cancer is one of the most common diseases in men over the age of 50, Its believed that the atrophy (deterioration) of the pelvic floor muscles is a major factor. By practicing Pilates, the muscles can be effectively strengthened, and as a result, the risk of prostate cancer could be lessened.

If you participate in sport on a regular basis Pilates, for all the reasons above, is one of the best ways to prevent injuries from occurring.
