We hope you are enjoying the summer. The 7/15 Norwalk Project Team is continuing our work to complete the environmental documentation for the project.
We continue to develop the final drafts of the environmental assessment and 4(f) evaluation document. Over the past year, the COVID-19 pandemic has interrupted FHWA and DOT’s consultation efforts for Section 106 review. Not all of the Section 106 stakeholders and State and Tribal Historic Preservation Officers have been available to consult during the pandemic. We continue to work with FHWA on current protocols and guidance with regards to coordination and hope to complete coordination with all of our stakeholders in the coming months. We will then incorporate the finished Section 106 process into the environmental document.
Once completed, the environmental document will be available for review on the project website and in public libraries and offices.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
