Part of Speech: noun masculine

As we can see here using the word God or god can be two very different things. It is good for us to know that Scripture uses this word to describe both The One True God and all other types of gods as well. We can go a little deeper in our understanding of the word in Hebrew so we understand what the word god means. The word in Hebrew is made up of two letters the Aleph and the Lamed.
Aleph means (strong power leader)
Lamed means (teach yoke bind control)
Lets put the two letters together and see what the word God or god means.
(the strong leader in control)
When a believer speaks of God or the Scripture denotes God with the capital G then we understand that He is our Strong Leader in Control.
However when the word is used with a lower case g then it can denote mighty men, men of rank, mighty heroes god, false god, (demons, imaginations)
Now it becomes important to truly declare which God, god we serve as the Scriptures tell us it is very important to declare which we are serving The Strong Leader in Control or the strong leader in control. This is why believers should not idolize other people no matter who they are; pastors, teachers, loved ones, sports figures, musicians  etc…. nor should we place anything as a god in our lives except the One True God.
Rom 6:16  Don't you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness?
Which one do you want? It is possible to put the strong leader of a sinful nature in control of your life by giving yourself to someone or something which is unrighteous. If you are saved though then here is the believers stand in this life.
Rom 6:17-18  But thank God (Strong Leader in Control) that, though you were once slaves of sin, you became obedient from your hearts to that form of teaching with which you were entrusted! And since you have been freed from sin, you have become slaves of righteousness.
Ok so now when you read the word God or god you can insert the Hebrew meaning of this word instead and it will change how you perceive the meaning of what you are reading as we have done for you in the Scripture above. The Strong Leader in Control is by the way Yahushua Ha Mashiach our Saviour!
Till the next time
Blessings and Peace to you

For here and for all further Scriptural references unless specifically noted we use The King James(KJV) and or The International Standard Version (ISV) for our Scriptural quotes. Please also note we use Strong’s Hebrew and Greek Concordance for added understanding.
For here and for all further Scriptural references when these two words are used; LORD and Jesus please be advised of the following: We do interchange them out of respect to our God.
Wherever LORD is used the actual Hebrew = יהוה Yahuwah H3068
Wherever Jesus is used the actual Hebrew = יְהוֹשֻׁעַ  Yahushua H3091

We also would like to point out when we use the term (God) we are referring to the One True Elohim’. The I Am of The Scriptures not just any old god. Yah is  His Name reference (Psa 68:4  Sing to Elohim, sing praises to His Name. Raise up a highway for Him Who rides through the deserts, By His Name Yah, And exult before Him.)

We have a further in-depth study on His Names on our website Here.
