The First Born From the Dead

First Fruits and The Resurrection

As you are going to see the Scriptures listed below will first show the actual command to keep this Moed and will secondly show the correlation to our blessed Lamb of God! We also present to you the whole issue of the resurrection and why this is soooo important! Yahushua is the First Born from the Dead! Take the time to read to the end and find encouragement to your faith and strength for the times in which we live in.

Lev 23:9-14 (ISV)  Then YAHUWAH spoke to Moses, "Tell the Israelis that when you enter the land that I'm about to give you and gather its produce, you are to bring a sheaf from the first portion of your harvest to the priest, who will offer the sheaf in YAHUWAH's presence for your acceptance. The priest is to wave it on the day after the Sabbath. "On the day you wave the sheaf, you are to offer a one year old male lamb without defect for a burnt offering in YAHUWAH's presence. Also present a meal offering of two tenths of a measure of fine flour mixed with olive oil as an offering made by fire to YAHUWAH, a pleasing aroma. "Now as to a drink offering, you are to present a fourth of a hin of wine. You are not to eat bread, parched grain, or fresh grain until that day when you've brought the offering of your God. This is to be an eternal ordinance throughout your generations, wherever you live."

Col 1:18 (ISV)  He is also the head of the body, which is the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that he himself might have first place in everything.

1Co 15:20-22 (ISV)  But at this moment the Messiah stands risen from the dead, the first one offered in the harvest of those who have died. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead also came through a man. For as in Adam all die, so also in the Messiah will all be made alive.

Heb 12:23-24 (ISV)  to the assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, to a judge who is the God of all, to the spirits of righteous people who have been made perfect, to Yahushua, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better message than Abel's.

Resurrection Life After Death:

What do you know about the resurrection? What do the Scriptures say about this blessed event and why is it important to us today?

1Co 15:17-18  And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.

Well there it is the importance to us all and we thank our God that there are many, many Scriptures which show us along with actual historical accounts of this blessed event that we can indeed be secure in our faith and everlasting life! We will list just a few Scriptures below and a few historians of the past.

Mat 27:50-53  Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

Mark 16: 5-8
Luke 24: 1- 9
Acts 2:4
Acts 2:32
Acts 4:10
Rom 4:25
Rom 6:9
Eph 1:20

Just a few ancient historians that put their reputations on the line to verify these events.

For here and for all further Scriptural references when these two words are used; LORD and Jesus please be advised of the following: We do interchange them out of respect to our God.

Wherever LORD is used the actual Hebrew = יהוה Yahuwah H3068
