Dutch Network

Dear reader,

Dutch Network is pleased to announce that we’ve started our newsletter again! Over the last 10 years, Edie Bijdemast has done a wonderful job creating the newsletters, and we’re continuing what she started. We’ve given it a brand-new look, making it easier to read on computers and mobile devices alike.

Every month, we will keep you informed on what’s happening in the Dutch community. We hope that you’ll enjoy these newsletters just like you have in the past.

Edie, bedankt!

Dutch Network has a new website!

It's now easier than ever to enjoy everything Dutch Network has to offer! We have created a new website with an updated design and increased ease-of-use.

With just a few clicks you'll be able to find out about all our events and promotions. Particularly exciting is the new News & Announcements page: a one-stop shop for everything hot & trendy in the Dutch community!

Supporting Dutch Network by becoming a member or by making a donation also has never been easier. Visit the membership page for more information.

We invite you to have a look at

Reminder: Dutch Network Survey

We recently sent out an email with an invitation to fill out a survey, which will help us continue to serve you well in the coming years. We noticed that the email was flagged as spam by some recipients' computers, so we will resend the invitation.

The new email will less likely be flagged as spam, but if you'd like to participate in the survey, please keep an eye on your spam folder as well.

Dutch Pub Night now happening twice a month

Have you heard about our Pub Nights? A few times every month, we gather for drinks and lively Dutch conversation. It's a great opportunity to meet people and speak Dutch, and everyone is welcome!

As usual, we will meet every 3rd Wednesday of every month, from 7:30 PM, at the New Oxford in Yaletown, Vancouver. This pub is located at 1144 Homer Street.

We recently added a second location: Langley. Every 1st Wednesday of every month, from 7:30 PM,  we will meet at London Bull, located at 20090 91A Avenue.

Please email if you would like to attend.

See our new (hoera!) website for more information.

We hope to see you there!

Save the Date: Koningsdag on April 29th

Come and join the Koningsdag celebration on April 29th, at "De Dutch" on Canada Place in Vancouver, from 5 pm to 8 pm. Dress code: orange.

We have arranged a special evening for members and non-members of Dutch Network to celebrate Koningsdag together at De Dutch. Your entrance ticket includes free finger food and one (alcoholic) beverage. Our national Dutch treat “bitterballen” is also on the list of treats, so make sure to register quickly, before this event is sold out!

We can only host a maximum of 120 people - first come, first serve.

We look forward to seeing you there, and don’t forget to show your Dutch pride by wearing orange!

Visit our Koningsdag event page for more information. Tickets will soon be available for sale.
