I normally send these out around the last week of the month. But a trip to KC, KS, and a bout with Covid has delayed this one. So here it is and thank you for taking the time to read.

Golden Moment Campaign

Each day your organization strives to deliver “golden customer moments”. The moment when an AH-HA expression washes over their face as you solve their problem, fulfill their desire, and make them a hero.
These are stories you need to capture. I know you know the hassles of recording – time, scheduling, technology. But these stories are the resource for your next powerful marketing campaign. Here are some suggestions to help you get started.
Identify your “golden moment” clients. They are the ones that can’t stop talking about you. Referring you to everyone they meet.
Next, ask them if you could record their testimony. After you have your stories, develop a social media distribution plan.
Ok, we know the why and the what, but how? Zoom is a great way to record testimonials, but you still have to be involved and there is a matching of schedules. I discovered another tool that works behind the scenes. It’s an online app called Vouch ( After creating a free account watch the tutorial. I began my trial by selecting the NEW button. I chose the VOUCH option allowing me to create a personalized video message. After selecting publish without sending, I copied the link and paste it into an email to my client asking them if they would record their testimonial. When the client clicks on the link it takes them to the recording page which also has a feature for them to review their recording before sending it. After they complete their recording and save it to Vouch, I receive an email notifying me to download the testimonial. After a slight technical glitch, I’ve found the program is very easy to use and the quality is very good. BTW Vouch's technical support responded and solved my challenge within a day.
John Sanchez and Steve Gatter helped me with this trial and recorded their testimonials. Click the image below to see the results. Full disclosure I did add their logos and titles to the raw videos but the quality of the picture and sound is very acceptable.

What I really like is the ease of use for both you and your customers. Their free version is adequate if you don’t mind the watermark. While you may be satisfied with the entire testimonial, consider editing it to a short nugget – you know that wow statement that nails what you did. These short blasts are great for social.

Words of Widom from Seth Godin

Marketing is everything – it's how you answer the phone, the prices you charge, what you do for your employees, your ability to exceed expectations, and much more. The marketer’s job in the new normal is to make the organization work for its customers. That requires you to have a say and a critical input,” Seth Godin.

Open Caption Your Next Video

Many are turning to open captioning for their videos. The two types of captioning are closed and open. According to the Hearing Loss Association of America, open captions are always in view and cannot be turned off by the user, whereas closed captions can be turned on and off by the user. A Verizon Media study revealed that 92% of U.S. consumers view videos with the sound off on mobile devices. This is why many producers create open captioning for most of their videos. The process can be automated by making sure you can edit the text prior to posting. Another benefit to using open captioning is that 80% of consumers are more likely to watch an entire video when captions are available (Verizon Media). If you have any questions about captioning or have a video needing captioning, let me know.
Last month I told you about the charity rock concert DeCarlo for All Things Possible. Well, things didn't go as planned and DeCarlo had to cancel. But we found an equally talented local group - Groove Machine. They are a dynamic group blasting sounds of the '70s. Check out this promotional video.

I hope to see you there.
