From lazy days at the beach of An Bang, we’ve dropped into the steaming cauldron of Hanoi. Every day, we’re on the move. We dodge scooters, buses, ox carts, lorries, bicycles, cyclos and taxis, all honking. We eat squatting on plastic stools that are too small even for me. And we walk forever. My average steps for the past 7 days is 17,666!
That doesn’t leave much time for reading and writing. So I’ve no new book reviews for you though The Book of Salt makes a surprising appearance in this latest blog post. It’s my attempt to get a handle on Vietnam’s fractured past: The Last Emperor.
This will be my last blog post on Vietnam. We head now for our next country, Korea. The Curious Monkey Goes to ... Seoul.
