Get Creative At Home

BBC Lockdown Orchestra

Ever wanted to feel part of the BBC's orchestras and singers? Now's your chance. As part of a huge #GetCreativeAtHome challenge we are asking the nation to dust off their instruments, warm up their vocal cords and join the newly formed BBC Lockdown Orchestra in a massive rendition of ‘You Got The Love’.

The song, released by The Source ft. Candi Staton and also covered in a version by Florence + The Machine, has been recorded by the BBC Lockdown Orchestra, a virtual ensemble made up of more than 100 musicians from the six BBC orchestras and choirs and the Ulster Orchestra. Watch the video below of the rousing backing track of the well-known anthem of hope. Now you are being invited to play along too and be part of a special broadcast on BBC radio and television on 14 May.

Anyone can join in and upload a video of themselves playing or singing along to the track. And if you're not the musical type, we want to see your own creative responses to the song. Upload photos and videos of your paintings, dancing, baking, anything creative! Find sheet music, recording tips and much more on the BBC website and upload your contribution by midnight on Sunday for the chance to be included in this unique nationwide moment of creativity.
