Thank You NHS

Thank You NHS by Michael Craig-Martin

This morning we launched a brand new downloadable artwork by one of Britain's leading artists, Sir Michael Craig-Martin. This poster has been specially designed by the renowned artist to show support for the selfless work of NHS staff across the UK. The poster can be downloaded for free and coloured in, then we're asking you to share your finished work on social media using #GetCreativeAtHome or display in your home.

As people across the country join together this evening to clap for NHS staff and all those key workers supporting communities through this time, the new poster aims to offer a hopeful and positive symbol for everyone to share, will also looking after their own mental health.

As well as a symbol of thanks, colouring in the poster has the added benefit of being a mindful activity for both adults and children who are being encouraged to stay indoors. Dr Daisy Fancourt, who is Associate Professor of Epidemiology at University College London, says colouring has been accepted as a relaxing and calming activity which can help us de-stress as well as explore our creativity.

"Now more than ever is the time to show our appreciation for the courageous work of our NHS staff across the UK. We might be in lockdown but, by colouring in this design individually and sharing it either in windows or digitally, you can show your personal support for the selfless work they're doing to save the lives of our friends, family and loved ones."
