Thank you for your continuing support and involvement as a Get Creative Champion. We have been busy over the last few months planning how we can make Get Creative work better for all our Champions.
We will be keeping you up to date via this newsletter with news from Champions across the UK, the latest on local network events and in the run up to the next Get Creative Weekend, 7th - 9th April 2017.
Important: please read our new T&Cs
We have new Terms and Conditions which can be viewed here.
Please read through them carefully and let us know if you have any questions.
Local Networks and events
Lots of Champions have told us they would like our help to develop local Get Creative networks, putting individuals and groups in contact with other creative and community organisations near to them and, importantly, with their local BBC. We will be starting (for now!) in Bristol, Liverpool, Nottingham, York and Scotland by hosting events to try and test out how these networks could operate effectively.
These initial meetings will be opportunities to hear more about what Get Creative has planned for 2017, to network with each other and make connections, and to connect with a key contact from the BBC in your area.
Here are the dates and details, as well as Eventbrite links to RSVP:
Friday 18 November, 10:30-12:30: GLASGOW
Thursday 1 December, 10:30-12:30: YORK
Monday 5 December, 11:00-13:00: BRISTOL
Wednesday 14 December, 15:30-17:30: NOTTINGHAM
If there isn't one near you yet and you would be interested in joining a local network, please get in touch.
We think that better connected networks will help enable your events and stories to be shared via local BBC platforms and amongst your local community. We hope this will make it easier for people to find their local Get Creative Champions and get involved with your activities.
Date for your diaries: Get Creative Weekend 2017
Get Creative Weekend will be returning across the UK on 7-9 April 2017
to create a national moment when we get everyone creating – be that from bedrooms or local museums, a park, pottery or library. This could be when you decide to do your one free or cost-recovery event. You can of course do more than one event in a year – we’d love it if you did!
Last but not least - please do keep sharing your creativity and news using #GetCreative
Do get in touch if you have any questions.
Thanks so much!
