Kim Stanley Robinson's 1992 book "Red Mars" describes tools to colonize Mars: "the air miners were big metal cylinders, somewhat resembling 737 fuselages...sucking in the thin air and ramming it through a sequence of separating mechanisms, to divide it into its component gases."

28 years later, the AirMiners Conference is making sci-fi real on Earth. And I just got email introduced to the author Kim Stanley Robinson!! (I'm not expecting a reply from the author, but it was so cool to pass along my appreciation)

I've got some other thoughts so check out the video to learn more about the inspiring bunch of fresh thinkers on climate. And be sure to check out the intro to how the "open spaces" at the conference work by Kelly Erhart here. And Grant Faber made an intro video to making the conference carbon negative that you can't miss!

P.S. hit reply if you're a "Red Mars" fan too!
