A wellspring of hope for all

"I came that they may have life, and have it abundently" (John 10:10)

Christ longs for us to be 'A Wellspring of Hope for All' and as we seek his face and plan to expand our ministry with a new toddler group in September in Bassingbourn and other youth initiatives planned for the Autumn across the parishes we value your prayers.
We hope funds raised both in the churches and the community will ensure a vibrant and dynamic place of hospitality and hope where all are welcome in both Bassingbourn and Whaddon.

Christ says, I have come that you might have life, life in all its abundance. What does that mean for us as individuals? To live abundantly, even in times that can seem so hard and uncertain, is to trust in God and lean not on our own understanding. The risk that love always is, is the risk we are asked to take day by day, as we try and sometimes 'fail towards' that goal of loving as Christ first loved us..

So it is, that I pray for us all as we move forward, that we can grow that abundant life into a deep lasting love that nourishes us and sustains us through the bad times as well as the good. And this, this love, will remain not just in our own hearts, but that it can and that it will spill out into the community in which we live, so we may truly become a 'wellspring of hope for all'.
Be blessed!

Donations this Sunday
This Sunday we wil be extending our giving opportunities to include a visible sign at the end of the service where those who would like to, can come up to the front and put a one off donation in the basket at the end of the service, or fill out our gift aid and standing orders forms in the pews - these can also be brought up to the front as well. The money we raise will go towards the running of the church and its activities which we are planning to expand in the Autumn.

We will also include the brief presentation by Jay on our church finances at the end of the service as a reminder for those who were there and an update for those who missed it, so we can all be part of this exciting prospect of growing the church and our connections within the community which we are here to serve. Please spend some time praying about this ahead of the service. Revd Helen
