Upcoming Event!

Monday, 11/1, 12 - 1 pm

Virtual DH Book talk featuring Melody Jue (UC Santa Barbara).

Melody Jue’s work in ecocriticism pushes DH and media studies more broadly to consider the limitations of terrestrial thinking by identifying the ocean as a media environment.  Wild Blue Media, Thinking Through Seawater (Duke University Press, 2020)  provides an alternative to familiar theoretical frameworks, thereby challenging scholars to navigate unfamiliar oceanic conditions of orientation, materiality, and saturation.

Join us for Jue's talk, followed by a robust Q&A session with all gathered.

DH@SDSU events are free and open to the public.
