That's Dax on the left, Eddie on the right!
Young Dax began his life on a chain and was told his name was Dumb-Dumb. Little did he know that a wonderful safety net would lead him from a buy-trade-sell website to a local rescuer and then into the care of Airedale Rescue Group. A talented trainer adopted Dax and easily taught him hand and voice commands. Then an unexpected event in the trainer’s life brought Dax back to ARG and to a second wonderful home with Albert and his Husky girl Sakura. They became great hiking companions until Sakura died suddenly.
Albert and Dax were settling into their own rhythm when six year old Eddie came dancing into view. Albert leaped into action because he knew that Eddie’s having cerebellar hypoplasia meant he would need more – more love, more care, more patience. ARG volunteers worked with the shelter veterinarian and staff to spring Eddie and transport him to a foster home; within a week, Eddie was home. He loves playing with Dax and hanging out with his dad and his family, who affectionately call him Special Ed.
