Two Scholars Selected for Fifth NCSP Cohort

Two scholars have been selected for the 2023-2025 cohort of Duke's National Clinician Scholars Program (NCSP) — Stephanie Hart, PhD, NP-C, and Ryan Kane, MD, MPH. The cohort represents the fifth group of interdisciplinary researchers recruited to the Duke NCSP site.

Svati Shah Receives Genomic and Precision Medicine Mentoring Award

Svati H. Shah, MD, MHS, director of Duke Kannapolis, has received the Genomic and Precision Medicine Mentoring Award from the American Heart Association for her leadership and success in mentoring individuals in scientific careers. Dr. Shah, the associate dean for genomics and a professor of medicine, is a cardiologist and physician-scientist focused on translational research to better understand metabolic and genetic pathways of cardiometabolic diseases. She was named to direct the CTSI research site in Kannapolis in 2022.
